B2B contract and B2B contract part

Description

A B2B contract is an agreement between a PTO and a B2B partner, indicating that this partner wants to bear a part of the cost of specific PTO articles for specific people (beneficiaries).

Each B2B contract consists of one or more contract parts. These contract parts define the details of the agreement (for which articles and for which beneficiaries the contract is valid, how much the partner wants to pay…), whereas the contract itself only defines some general properties.

Example

In 2016, the university of Ghent wants to bear fifty percent of the cost of seasonal bus passes for its students and its employees. For students, the university will only contribute if they buy their pass in October or November. For employees, the university will contribute whenever they buy their pass.

The university of Ghent can then become a B2B partner and enter into a B2B contract with the PTO. The B2B contract will indicate that the university wants to be a B2B partner for the year 2016 and it will consist of two B2B contract parts:

  • The first contract part is only valid in October and November of 2016. It indicates that the university will pay 50% of each seasonal bus pass that is sold to one of its students.
  • The second contract is valid all year. It indicates that the university will pay 50% of each seasonal bus pass that is sold to one of its employees
